Dec 21, 2008, 6:35pm The Port Adelaide Football Club has thrown its weight behind AAMI Stadium, following the State Government's announcement of the deferral of the planned upgrade to the stadium. Power chief executive Mark Haysman said the club was committed to maintaining the venue as the home of football in South Australia.

The 51,240-capacity stadium played host to its last AFL game on 31st August 2013 and its last SANFL Grand Final on 6th October.
